ProcessSLA light-curing 3D printing (standard photosensitive resin)
ColorWhite (easier to observe details and defects; friendly to spray coloring, suitable for "finished appearance" prototyping)
Layer thickness0.05–0.10 mm (commonly used); 0.025 mm high-precision mode (increased lead time/cost)
Dimensional tolerance±0.20 mm or ±0.20% (whichever is greater); it is recommended to mark the tolerance or note "accuracy first" for the key hole/datum surface
Minimum wall thicknessAppearance non-structural ≥0.8–1.0 mm; general structure ≥1.2–1.5 mm; stress/near screws ≥2.0 mm
Minimum apertureDirect forming hole ≥1.5–2.0 mm; it is recommended to reserve allowance for assembly holes/mating holes and ream/ream holes
Text/textureThe height of embossed characters is ≥0.4 mm; the depth of concave characters is ≥0.3 mm; the line width is ≥0.25–0.30 mm (larger is recommended for painting/vacuum plating parts)
HardnessShore D 80–88 (varies with formulation/post-cure)
Tensile strength35–55 MPa (common range; typically stronger but more brittle after post-cure)
Elongation at break6–20% (standard resin tends to be “appearance/rigid”; toughness requirements suggest tough resin)
Heat distortion temperature (HDT)HDT (0.45MPa) is about 45-70℃; temperature resistance requirements can usually refer to the 60-80℃ range. For sustained high temperatures, it is recommended to choose high-temperature-resistant resin
Surface roughnessRa ~1–3 μm (related to layer thickness/direction); grinding + spray coating can further enhance the “finished product feel”
DensityApproximately 1.1 g/cm³
Recommended maximum unit sizeDepends on equipment and placement; oversized pieces can be disassembled and spliced or other processes can be evaluated
Accuracy levelStandard accuracy / high accuracy (remark "key hole/critical surface/tolerance requirements" required)
Optional colorsWhite in color; can be painted in any color (it is recommended to provide color cards/reference pictures or effect requirements)
Assembly enhancements support Threaded inserts; Please indicate the thread specifications (such as M2/M3/M4), quantity and location; please note if tapping/expanding/reaming is required
FinishingPolishing, painting, screen printing, vacuum plating, threaded inserts
Post-cure instructionsPost-curing can improve strength/temperature resistance and dimensional stability, but may increase brittleness; post-curing is usually recommended for cosmetic parts
Typical lead timeRelated to size, quantity, placement and finishing; clear delivery and expedited options will be given after uploading the file

Finishing

Polishing (improving “cleanliness”)

White is easier to show layer patterns and supporting points; it is recommended to use more fine polishing and transition processing on the display surface to make the surface cleaner.

Spray paint (most friendly to coloring)

White as the base color makes it easier to create a stable color and covering power; it can be made into matte/semi-matte/high-gloss and other textures. It is recommended to note the reference picture.

Screen printing (clear logo)

Suitable for logos, scales and other graphic information; it is recommended to provide vector files and location and size instructions.

Vacuum plating (appearance upgrade)

Used for metallic texture/reflective effect and visual enhancement; suitable for demonstration samples (base treatment and surface requirements need to be evaluated).

Threaded inserts (reliable assembly)

Used for screw assembly and repeated disassembly; suitable for parts that require fixing, assembly verification or small batch assembly (please note the thread specifications, quantity and location).

Why Choose Photosensitive Resin-White (SLA)

Details can be seen more clearly

White makes it easier to observe small features, layers and defects, and is suitable for review communication and appearance prototyping iteration.

High-precision details (small text and textures are crisper)

Suitable for small characters, chamfers, textures and thin structures; it is easier to "present" details when used for appearance review.

Spray coloring is more worry-free

As a base color, it is easier to obtain stable color and coverage effects, and quickly create an appearance and texture closer to the finished product.

Finishing and assembly friendly

Supports grinding, painting, screen printing, and vacuum plating; optional when screw connection/repeated disassembly and assembly is required Threaded inserts Improve reliability.

Recommended Applications

  • Appearance review is preferred: White color makes it easier to observe details and defects, making communication more efficient.
  • spray color: Need to make any color, unified texture and finished product
  • Details first: Textures/small characters/small chamfers need to be clearly presented
  • Light load test installation: Assembly verification, interference inspection, and feel evaluation (it is recommended to wear threaded inserts or choose tough resin for repeated disassembly and assembly)

It is not recommended to use it directly (it is recommended to change materials/processes)

  • Strong impact/high toughness: Switch to more fatigue-resistant materials such as tough resin or nylon
  • Continuous high temperature: Switch to high temperature-resistant resin or heat resistant material system
  • Long term outdoor/weather resistant: Evaluate weather-resistant materials or stronger surface protection options
  • High load and long-term use: It is recommended that engineering materials/machining/injection molding, etc. be more suitable

Design and DFM Guidelines

  • Display surface and "cleanliness control": White will show more layering and processing marks; please define the display surface/key surface, we can give priority to avoiding the key surface fabric support.
  • Thin wall/long cantilever: Thin walls can be made, but it depends more on the placement direction and support; it is recommended to thicken/reinforce the key stress-bearing parts to reduce the risk of warping and fracture.
  • Hole location and assembly: It is recommended to leave a margin for small holes/assembly holes; if strict fit is required, please mark the tolerance or note "secondary reaming/tapping/reaming required".
  • Buckle structure: Standard resin is brittle, and the buckle is prone to fatigue after repeated disassembly and assembly; it is recommended to use tougher resin or optimize the structure (rounded corners, thickening, and reducing strain).
  • Paint/vacuum plating detail loss: Spray coating/coating will "eat away details". It is recommended to ensure sufficient depth and height, and describe the final appearance process in the remarks.

Comparison with common resin/nylon materials

Material Key Advantages Mainly applicable Not suitable
Black SLA Resin (SLA) Darker colors are more "finished" and have a stronger display/photography effect Display parts, photographic samples, dark appearance review Appearance surfaces that are very sensitive to "marks/fingerprints"
Tough SLA - Yellow-Green (SLA) More impact and crack resistant than standard resins while retaining better appearance Snap verification, repeated assembly testing, light load function verification Batch printing and long-term wear resistance in complex structures (nylon is better)
High-Temp SLA - Beige (SLA) Stronger heat resistance and dimensional stability, suitable for thermal environment verification Heat resistance testing, jigs and fixtures, functional samples close to heat sources Only appearance review but budget sensitive (standard resin is more cost-effective)
Clear SLA Resin (SLA) Transparent display effect, transparency and look and feel can be improved through finishing Transparent display samples, visible structural parts, lampshade shells High wear-resistant long-term moving parts (nylon is more suitable)
HP Nylon - Gray (MJF) Functional type is more stable, batch consistency is good, and size is stable Delivery of low- to medium-volume production of functional parts, assembly positioning parts, and repetitive parts Pursue "extremely delicate appearance" (usually requires spray coating/finishing)
